Num lock locked!

I have a T42 Thinkpad and I haven't had any trouble with it until now.

For some reason, yesterday I found the num lock on so that whenver use UIOJKLM<>, I get the numpad. I can't turn it off with the num lock key either!

Has anyone encountered this problem before? If my numlock key is broken is there anyway to toggle it off with software or some other method?

you can try to press Shift+Numlk to turn it off.
