Selling My T42 [Admin edit: really just venting!]

#1 Post by defjux » Tue Oct 04, 2005 2:31 am

I've only had this machine for a few days, and I realize that this display is garbage. It's unfortunate that company would throw these shoddy parts into such an exquisite shell. Anyway, I wanted to know what a fair asking price was, considering I'm interested in making a profit? I saved $799 on it off the web (probably cutting corners on my screen), so I figure $18-2000 is fair, right?

hard to say what is fair as far as price goes, but if it is as bad as you say, i figure about $800 to $900 is fair to the next buyer..

OTH, from reading one of the threads about your problem, i would do a reload, then use the IBM supplied movie playback utility and see what THAT yields..

if still bad after a reload, you should have the hardware checked..

meanwhile, if you REALLY want to sell your thinkpad, then place an advert in the for sale confrence.. :)
