Lenovo sales

I just started looking into getting a T42, and I found the Lenovo sale on the 2373H6U. I wasn't planning on buying right away. What I would like to know is: Is this a one-time great deal that I should jump on, or does Lenovo have a (albeit short) history of having this kind of sale always going on?

The current price of this model is approx. 80 bucks more than the price during the previous sale (upto 10/03/05).

There will always be the next great sale/new version/model. Especially in the computer industry, you can be sure that things will continue to get cheaper and better. If you don't need a new notebook at the moment and are willing to wait, it's almost certain that another great deal will come around eventually. When the sale on the 2373H6U is over, Lenovo will replace it with something else on sale.

That being said, I did need a new notebook and the 2373H6U was exactly the system that I was looking for, so I jumped on the deal the very first day it appeared. I'm happy with the purchase, and since I've been using it since it arrived, I'll have no regrets when the next (possibly better) deal comes around.

i am sad to report that i can't do older thinkpads any longer or ANY special order..
i might be able to suggest an alternative to lenovo direct, the obfuscation and tax kings, who can ship immediately..
but this all depends upon what one wants and what one might be willing to take, for faster delivery..

it seems that lenovo would rather that i just disappear off the face of the earth..
i think too many of the idiots who could not make the best computer product in the world a money making proposition are now employed by lenovo..
somehow, all those ibm commercials, on TV and in print media, ring quite hollow, when they say that they can make your business work when they could not even make THEIR business work..
