Just Bought An A22m (ver 2628) Laptop....

...and I have a few questions. Some of them I've read over in various posts through here.

How common mobo failure on the A2x models? That was kinda disapointing to read - hopefully mine keeps kicking...

My second concern is my CPU speed. I've read other saying that their CPU isn't being read correctly in XP? The guy I bought this from said I was getting a 1ghz machine, and I booted it up and ran DXDIAG on it, and it's coming up as a 650mhz processor. Which...as I'm sure you can imagine...was somewhat disapointing. I just wanted something I could surf the net with while I'm away from home, but it's still only 65% of what I THOUGHT I was getting. However, I ran PCPITSTOP on it last night, and it says 650mhz core, 800mhz running. Which initially, seems like it might be overclocked? But it's not running warm at all, for being OC'd 150mhz, and it IS a laptop, which heat up faster than a desktop anyways...

...so anyway, is there a way to get the correct reading on my CPU? It runs waaay too good to be a 650mhz IMO. It boots fast, and there's plenty of programs running at startup. Until christmas, the machine I was running on was a PIII 750... and it does boot and run significantly faster than that machine - and it had more ram than this one.

So this leaves me confused. Any suggestions would be great... I don't know how the guy could mistake a 650 for a 1ghz machine?! It's not like he was off 100mhz or something...

Also, can anyone tell me offhand what the highest processor this motherboard can handle? If I do indeed have a 650, I probably would like to upgrade to at least a 900mhz, maybe more.
