Boot from USB CD ROM

#1 Post by sindanla » Mon Oct 10, 2005 7:38 pm

I got an X41 Tablet. I just accidentally formatted the hard disk. As I don't have an USB CD Rom, how can i reinstall everything by the Recovery CD's. (I have a USB to IDE cable, but can't boot up the CD ROM device using the usbaspi.sys and usbcd.sys)

the usbaspi.sys is working properly, as it can recognized the CD Rom, but then nothing else could be loaded from the CD again, the screen just displays "corrupt lines in config.sys"

thx a lot~~

Did you format the HD entirely even the system recovery sector that is hidden?
If you did you remove that partition you can use the access IBM button when you boot. Then you should be able to recover the system.
