Mandriva 2006

#1 Post by marvel » Sat Oct 15, 2005 12:55 pm

Anyone used the Mandriva Linux 2006 pro+ or any of its flavors?

Thinking of trying it out. It´s said to be specially configured for Intel Centrino.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, Mandriva 2006 does not have a functional set of suspend scripts, or a kernel that adequately supports suspend (they fail for my T22 and X41). There are also a number of bugs in kde (kded consumes all cpu). Worse, these bugs were noted in the cooker versions prior to release and were not fixed! I am stuck with Mandriva since it is used on all of the machines we use, but I would suggest you choose another distribution if suspend and a functional kde are important to you.
