question about the part replacement for my T43(in warranty)

#1 Post by Procter » Sun Oct 16, 2005 8:59 pm

I'm a new laptop user, and recently my AC adaptor has not been working properly. I know there's a 800 number for warranty service I can dial, but I wonder if there's any convenient way to do it since I found it really had a lot of options in my last phone call.

And by the way, do I have to send the old adaptor ( or any replaced parts) back to IBM/Lenovo? How? I assume I don't have to pay the shipping.

TIA

the 1-800 number is the way to go. From my experience it never took me to talk to someone more than 1 minute.

If you do have to ship the adaptor back, they will tell you when you call them and they will include a return box with the new adaptor so that you can send your old one back.

You can also open service requests online: https://www-304.ibm.com/jct03004c/suppo ... cale=en_US

But as the previous poster said, I think the 800 number is the way to go.
