T43p: Nonexisting Configuration in tabook

#1 Post by alins » Mon Oct 17, 2005 11:56 pm

I really would like to buy a T43p with a 80 or 100GB 7200 RPM drive and an IBM mini-PCI a/b/g card (Atheros). However all 80/100GB T43p units mentioned in tabook come with an Intel wireless card. Is there any way to get, say the 2668-P2U or 2668-P4U notebooks with the Atheros card? Will Lenovo offer such a config soon?

buy one with the intel chipset..
then buy the wifi card with the atheros chipset.. $60~

so far, with my T43p (Q2U) and T41T (6SU) the intel wifi card works fine..

Keep in mind the tabook doesn't list ALL possible configurations. There are any number of CTO (config to order) options. Call sales and see if you can CTO it with the card you want.

Try 2687-EJU or 2687-E4U (difference is the fingerprint reader).

The 2687-EJU/E4U are 15 inch models - any idea what's the model number for a fully loaded 14.1 inch SXGA+ T43p (with or without fingerprint reader), 100GB 7200RPM drive, 128MB ATI card, IBM a/b/g wireless, 1 GB RAM?

Thanks for everybody's help so far.
