Targus Thinkpad X40 Office Executive for an X21

I am in the market for a case/sleeve for a newly puchased X21.

The Targus Thinkpad X40 Office Executive looks really good but I am concerned about the size since the X40 is a hair smaller then the X21.

Did anybody ever try to fit an X21 (X20, maybe the other X Twenties) into one of these?

I am also interested in similar well working alternatives. Thanks.

pphilipko mentioned an X40 backpack, and that he was going to do a group buy of them. I couldn't find out if it could take an X21, though.

You need a case with internal dimesions of 11"x9"x1" - that's the dimensions of the X2 series.

If it's padded, the additional inch of thickness won't hurt, but it also means that you could take the UltraBase if you wanted it.

This bag is something to consider. I was looking for something more along the sleeve line. Or go all out and get http://www.willowdesign.com/HB-01.html (the laptop is my girlfreind's).

I don't think I am willing to drop the $100 for a bag I'll put a $230 laptop in :)) Though it includes a bag and a sleeve. Maybe if it was christman. But I cannot wait that long. Maybe we'll have an early christmas. I won't se her until January anyway. :(

If I get a bag it needs to fit is a paper notebook, maybe a book ot two and the laptop with charger. If I get a sleeve... I am thinking she alrady has a backpack that is nice and roomy for her books but if it is dropped once with the laptop in it... So the laptop needs some beefing up.

But the price tag on the one you sent looks really cool. :))

I would be shocked if someone could not tell me if this Targus Office Executive would fit the X21. At least given my experience at other forums... I guess I am new here.
