Fingerprint reader won't read fingerprints

Just got my new 2373H6U yesterday, and everything seems perfect except the fingerprint reader software. The version on the preload was able to "enroll" my fingerprints very easily, but then wouldn't recognize them when I tried to use them to log in. After a few updates, I seem to have the latest version, but it won't even enroll fingerprints successfully. It keeps telling me to "slow down" (I do, I do!) but never gets an image.

EDIT: Just read enough other posts to realize that the problem may be that I enrolled fingerprints with the machine undocked, and have had problems with the machine docked. Will experiment...

SECOND EDIT: Yep, sure enough, it worked perfectly (but slowly) when undocked. Perhaps an IRQ problem somewhere? Anyway, this doesn't seem worth the hassle, so I've disabled the fingerprint feature. Anyone with more experience with this who would be willing to write a full report of their experiences with it?

i disabled it too. but having the feature won't hurt coz i think it may increase the resell price
