Thanx for the help in advance... and sorry about the zillion questions!
Which kind of ram should I get?
Which kind of ram should I get?
I have a 2373-GVU with 512 of ram. I want to add another 512 at least. What should I get that would be compatible? Im guessing, 512MB PC2700 CL2.5 NP DDR SDRAM SODIMM. Which brand? Crucial, Kingston, Corsair? And how much should I spend on it? I found these at newegg and the same specs vary from 40 bucks to 100 bucks. Whats is the difference between XMS and ValueRAM? quality of components?

I prefer crucial, simply because you know what your getting. They only use Micron chips (they are owned by Micron). Micron is used by IBM as a RAM supplier. So it's essentially the same RAM as your computer may ship with. Also true for several other manufacturers who use them (Apple comes to mind).
T43 (2687-DUU) - 1.86GHz, 1.5GB RAM, 100GB 5400 (non IBM-firmware Hitachi 5k100) HD, Fingerprint Scanner, 802.11abg/Bluetooth, ATI x300

Picked this up last weekend for my new T42. I had $10 off any order coupon so it was only $37 plus tax & pickup. They then sent me a $10 off $50 coupon for filling out a simple survey that I can use for my next order.
