X41 with a 2GHz ULV, 2GB RAM & an 80GB HDD ???

#1 Post by brainpicker » Fri Oct 21, 2005 8:39 am

I was looking for a part this morning and ran across this auction [ http://cgi.ebay.com/LT17-NEW-IBM-Thinkp ... dZViewItem ]. I didn't know anything like this existed, but since it's on ebay and the seller has pictures it MUST be true. He has about 25 bidders too. All "legit" high-feedback members bidding it up. I don't know why I'm letting all of you in on this as I should be hoping my bid stands up! Good Luck all. I'll report in when I win my new X41.

Lenovo T60 (IPS) - Fujitsu ST5020D - Fujitsu Q2010 - Docks and accessories for each (and a roomfull of stuff I can't use.)

Wow, that's an awesome computer!!

He has a good imagination. Too bad for the sucker who wins this thing. Maybe I'll create a new account and outbid everyone to save someone the hassle.

Does 2Ghz ULV even exist? I've checked Intel's website, the fastest ULV clock speed seem to be 1.20 Ghz at the moment. I'm guessing that it's a typo.

Here's the link to Intel's website

Cheers

Lenovo's site has X41's up to 1.5GHz only.
The X41 can use a maximum of 1.5GB RAM.
The largest disk Lenovo ships in an X41 is 60GB.
The seller is new and has zero feedback.

I would stay far away from this auction.

2.0ghz ULV doesn't exist, but even if it did... the X41's use LV (which max out at 1.6GHz now anyway). Also, the X41's support a max of 1.5GB of RAM. And finally, as far as I know, there are no Hitachi 80gig 1.8" drives available. Actually no 80gig 1.8" drives period... but Toshiba announced they will make one.

This is no typo. It's a fraudulent seller.
