How to set Fingerprint log on into Windows account?
I restored my computer to factory state and now, when I reistalled all needed IBM software in Fingerprint Software in 'Logon settings' I am missing 'Replace Windows logon with fingerprint-protected logon'. How can I set this feature to work?

I don't have a fingerprint reader, so I may be off base, but a couple of places you can check.
1. Start > Control Panel > User Accounts
2. Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Users.
BTW, if you download software or drivers manually from IBM/Lenovo, you need to double-click on the file to execute it, but this only places the files inside in certain directories. From there you either have to run Software Installer or double-click on the setup.exe file for the package you want to install. When you first download the file from IBM/Lenovo and execute it, you need to pay attention to which directory the files will be placed in, in order to find and run the setup.exe file for that package.
EDIT: I just looked at the fingerprint reader software page, and there is a fingerprint reader driver, and fingerprint reader software. Be sure you have both. ThinkVantage Fingerprint software

I'm not sure how it worked before, I had CSS installed either but you are right that the setting is in CSS. If you go into the advanced settings, there is an option for log on settings.krma-thkpds wrote:OK. I figured it out.
I just needed to install CSS. Though I remember last time I was using fingerprint logon without CSS.
