I got lazy so I didn't read the second page all the way through, but here's something you outta try.

RC = Right Click
LC = Left Click
DLC = Double Left Click

RC My Computer
LC Properties
Choose the Hardware Tab
LC Device Manager
LC the + next to Network Adapters
DLC your DLink Card that seems to be the issue
Choose the Power Management Tab
Place checkmarks were logicall applicable (i.e. Check "Allow the computer to...")

Let me know if that helps.

Hello lvlolvlo,

Thanks for your reply.

You may have missed the part where I tested with the DLink card removed. The power loss was less (3.3% vs. 3.6% on the day I tested) but still far beyond power loss during a full shutdown (0.01%, typically).

Further, I do not have a Power Management tab on the DLink card in Device Manager. On the Advanced tab, I do have a setting for Power Save Mode, which is currently set to Off.

Again, I suspected the card initially, but when I saw the power loss was ostensibly the same, I ruled that out.

Another user has just PM'd me - with a T30 exhibiting the exact same behavior. Hopefully together we will help IBM solve this problem.

Thanks again,
