Screen Color Difference t30/t42

The screen color on my t30 seems to be a lot nicer than my t42, not as washed out appearing, darker and richer, they are set to the same default settings. The t30 is a certified used and it appears to have a new LCD installed.When I did a screen type part search I get all zeros, so I do not know what part number is on the t30. The resolution slide
bar on the t30 will go to 2048X1536 and the t42 will max out at 1024X768. They both say Ati Radeon 7500, is it possible to adjust something in the t42 to match the t30 or are they completely different.?
