570E recovery CD?

#1 Post by wogeboy » Sun Oct 23, 2005 9:03 pm

I have a 570e machine that I plan on putting back together for my niece.
I have parts from two bad machines to make the one.
Anyone know what OS was the shipped software with the 570e?
Was it 98,ME, 2k?

If it was in fact 2K , anyone know where I can get or buy the recovery CD? Will an IBM 2K recovery CD work on the 570E?
Thanks

There were four different configurations of the ThinkPad 570E that IBM sold, two of them with Windows 2000 Professional and the other two with Windows 98SE.

The 2644-5AU and the 3644-6AU both shipped with Microsoft Windows 98SE and the 2644-5BU and 2644-6BU both shipped with Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.

Although I'm not 100% sure, I do see no reason why it wouldn't work.
