IBM Wireless LAN MiniPCI Adapter II connection fix

For those of you with the Atheros IBM MiniPCI card, if you have trouble getting a connection to any wireless AP, and you had a previous MiniPCI adapter installed, make sure all your old drivers are removed.

I replaced my 2200BG with the IBM Atheros card and it worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago. I finally found the problem when I discovered that the Intel PRO/Wireless software had managed to reinstall itself. Uninstalling that and rebooting the system fixed the connection issues. Maybe this will be of use to someone in the future so they can save some troubleshooting.

Ok, well this worked for about one day then DHCP stopped working. I finally threw in the towel and uninstalled XP SP2. As soon as SP2 was uninstalled, wireless connections were working again. Hope this is helpful to someone.
