#1 Post by lutami » Tue Nov 01, 2005 4:38 pm

:?: In My Computer....ive just noticed another drive has appeared...when...how..what and why-for i don't know...as far as i know i haven't changed anything just ran 'Software installer' a week or so ago...it's under Removeable Storage :?:

When i click 'Safely Remove Hardware' there's only D drive shows there...confused or what.

I doubt that this is the case but is it possible you created a secure drive through IBM's Client Security Solutions?

This still may not be the case as creating one of these "secure" drives takes a little more than just clicking the box.

You will need to open up the Client Security Solutions program and in the lower right hand corner there should be a button for secure data. As I haven't deleted any of these secure drives before I will have to look into it more. I'll try to do it tonight.

In the mean time, maybe someone else can help you out.

Sorry I totally forgot to do this last night.

I just looked into it and I don't see an option for deleting the secure "drive", but if this is your problem, you should be able to see the drive there in CSS.

Open CSS
Click the "protect data" button
It should be in the left column listed under Privatedisk volumes.

If you don't see it there this may not be your problem.
