ThinkPad Ultraportable 56W AC Adapter for use with a T43p

#1 Post by Roy_W » Fri Nov 04, 2005 3:33 pm

I have found a link to a "small lightweight mains adapter". can anyone confirm with certainty that this adapter could be used safely with a T43p.

None of the T series are listed as being "compatable" with this adaptor.
This issue has come before. Do a search for "56w", read the posts and decide whether you want to take the chance.

Effectively I didn't realise that the 56w wasn't a new adapter. After following your link and reading one or two others, I definately won't be buying one.

Thanks for the link, next time I'll search first .

I don't know how much power the T4x drains while operating at full speed on AC, but according to MobileMeter, the charge rate alone can top at least 30 watts.
