Mack camera warranties--beware?
Mack camera warranties--beware?
I bought my A31P off of ebay. It had factory warranty, and then Mack Camera warranty beyond that. (http://www.mackcam.com/). I failed to keep my factory warranty from lapsing and didn't know I could still renew it, so I decided to use the Mack warranty when my (second) mother board failed. They've had the unit for about a month and a half. Boy do I regret trusting them. Anyone else have any experiences with them? They do not reply to my inquiries. Can I assume that my machine is stolen? Or are they just going to keep it for 4 months to teach me a lesson? I will be writing to the Better Business Bureau. Any other good authorities to file reports with?
steer clear of liars and scumbags.
they have now had it for 2 months. various of their agents told me that it was at IBM or at an IBM authorized service center. When I called IBM they informed me that they have not had it at all. so then mack admits that they sent it to 2 different guys. the first one held it for 3 weeks and did nothing. the second one took another 3 weeks and supposedly did something, but wasn't able to fix it. now they claim they are sending it to ibm.
these people are scumbads and liars. i wouldn't deal with anyone that offers a Mack warranty.
