14" Booqbag Sleeve for my T41p?

#1 Post by dc81 » Wed Nov 09, 2005 11:11 am

I was going to purchase a 14" Boogbag Sleeve for my T41p which is a 14.1 inch display, but I have a 9 cell battery that sticks out (which most of you know what I am talking about). I was wondering if the notebook still fits into a 14" sleeve with the 9 cell battery. Urgency is greatly appreciated. I am going on a trip in 2 weeks and need to order a sleeve since I am taking my computer with me.

i read that the booq vyper sleeve only protects from dust. if it drops, you'll be out of luck with the booq vyper.

He may be referring the the powersleeve, which provides more protection. I have the powersleeve 14" and a T42 with 6 cell battery. With my 6-cell, there is a 2 finger gap when you push the laptop over to one side. I imagine that with your 9-cell, you should get a very snug fit as the material does stretch a bit.

The description talks about the sleeve being rugged, molded foam, ballistic nylon exterior.

Where did you read that it was only a dust cover?

it fits the 9cell perfectly. no stretch.
6 cell is a bit loose.
this is the powersleeve i'm talkin about, not vyper

i refer to the forums here and review in the net. of course it is more than a dust protector, i made that term up to show what i think about the thickness of the vyper. i never had one so i should be quiet. Though i intend to order the booq powersleeve these days. I'd better like the waterfield, but they only take credidcards, i dont have one.

Do you know which material is thicker, the waterfield's or the powersleeve's. i guess its almost the same. Thank you.

I now received my Powersleeve. The thickness is very good, the laptop will be well protected in there.Unfortunately with my T42 14" it moves a bit around in the bag, the bag is not fitting perfectly. The bag looks quite great, but i absolutely dont like the logos printed and attached just everythere. I will try the Waterfield also though i dont think it is so well protecting like the booq.
