Alternate stylus for X41T
Alternate stylus for X41T
Hey,
I just picked up the stylus for the Motion LE 1600. Using this pen compared to the one that came with the X41 is night and day.
The Motion 1600 pen:
-is heavier - its got the weight of an expensive Cross pen
-has 1 button(right click) recessed so you dont accidentally click it. Further, when you do, it pushes down more than the IBM one
-its round like a normal pen so its a lot more comfortable
-its got a rubber coated grip so its nice and comfy
and the biggest plus
Its got an eraser at the end! It's a lot more natural to flip the pen around to erase than fumble with the 2 buttons on the IBM stylus. It's a shame that it wont fit in the compartment, but oh well, its my pen of choice now for my X41T. Get it.

Interesting. I've been getting used to the feel of the stylus that it comes with. At first I would always be hitting the buttons on the side of it, but have gotten used to it. I find it really easy to just press the button to use the eraser, rather than flipping the whole thing around.

I have a few of these pen/stylus combos and many manufacturers make them. I'm not sure how an eraser is used on a Tablet though. Most of the pen/stylus combos do not come with an "eraser."Cerebus wrote:Is there any such beast as an ink pen/stylus combo so that it can be used in either instance?

Are the ones you're talking about for Wacom tablets? I've seen combo's with a pen/pencil/stylus but the ones I've seen are for pressure sensitive touch screens. Nothing more than a plastic rounded nib.mrdeucie wrote:I have a few of these pen/stylus combos and many manufacturers make them. I'm not sure how an eraser is used on a Tablet though. Hmm I don't think they are for Wacom tablets. I was not aware that the styluses are different from PDA styluses.Adam wrote:Are the ones you're talking about for Wacom tablets? Yeah the PDA styluses are just a piece of rounded plastic. The styluses with tablet PC's have a low power radio transmitter that sends the information to the tablet under the screen. The nib moves when you touch something to control the pressure, so you dont even need to touch the screen with it. You can put the pen really close to the screen and touch the nib with your finger and it will write.mrdeucie wrote:Hmm I don't think they are for Wacom tablets. That's why they're like $60 for a replacement
