How to test HDD in T22?

#1 Post by nolifer » Wed Nov 16, 2005 1:23 am

Usually I test HDD's with Maxtor's PowerMax bootable cd. But in T22 that won't work.

Is there any other bootable cd with hdd diagnostics?
No IBM at the moment :(

If the drive is an IBM/Hitachi, you can use the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test

You can download it here:

Seagate has a bootable CD called SeaTools that works with several HDD's besides their own. I've used it with success on a Fujitsu HDD.
