Very strange wireless adapter prob.My r50e won't detect it..

I just got an R50e ms dos version and i installed the latest windows version and it works all good.But my windows cannot detect that i have a wireless adapter and im sure got it because it's a centrino 1.6ghz which means it has a wireless adapter besides that i have read it in the detect my settings section in the ibm website.I got the latest drivers and the latest thinkpad access and nothing happens....when i open the device manager and under the etwork adapters I only find intel 100/ve lan which is the wired lan adapter.FYI I have everything updated even the bios and when i entered the bios setup in the network setting it said wireless network is enabled.Please help me I cant figure out a reason for this.Thanks

some R50E has no mini pci card under the keyboard. The mini pci slot is unavailable. Can you open the keyboard to have a look?

I called the technical support support and it turned out that the stupid site recommended a wrong driver.Thanks for the help

well that sure sounds frustrating. i can't stand it when i have issues with the computer.
