#1 Post by halfcard » Thu Nov 17, 2005 7:52 pm

hi i am wondering if i will burn out my T41 by continuously running worldcommunitygrid.org, a distributed computing project that uses home computers to look for cures.

Nope; I do Protein folding with BOINC as well as SETI@Home ...these won't burn out your T41....Might want to check out some of the sites that use BOINC ;) :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

I don't think distributed computing can harm your computer. As long as nothing is preventing the ThinkPad's cooling system from circulating air througout the system, you will be fine.
