Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Mini-PCI Adapter

#1 Post by Did » Fri Nov 18, 2005 6:26 am

Hi, friends!
I wish to upgade my WiFi card (Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter) with this one:Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Mini-PCI Adapter. But I'm not sure is it compatible with my ThinkPadR50p(18322AG). IBM's tech offered me wifi card (FN39T0083), but I'm Intel's fan :D . Another options is to buy PCMCIA a,b,g card (Linksys). Any opinion will be appreciated. Thanks!

You can use 2915abg on R50P. Need to jump 1802 wrong code. and FN+F5 and LED light may not work. Wish you luck.

2915ABG works great! Cisco LEAP and wireless roaming work fantastic. Get the latest driver from intel and you'll not be disappointed.

Well - there is one thing. It's driver doesn't support promiscuous mode - for ethereal.
