White spots on SXGA. What are they?

#1 Post by T23_Owner » Thu Jul 08, 2004 7:41 am

I have white spots on my sxga screen. What are they? They are not pixels size but rather small areas. Is my backlight going bad? Is the back light part of the lcd or is it seperate?

I don't know if this is related to your problem, however, I had a Dell D600 machine and there was a white spot in the middle of the LCD - It looked like a moon - Anyway, the issue was that something was pressing from the back of the LCD, enough to make a "mark" or the white spot when LCD was on.

Maybe (I say maybe), that is the issue.
