#1 Post by allnighta » Sun Nov 20, 2005 5:12 am

ok peeps, like to say hi frst of all and a thanxs to anyone that can help
i have had a t21 for a while now and the back light has been out for about a month
so i stripped the lcd scrren down a nd removed the back light and i was happy to see it had actually blown at 1 side
so i put the lcd back together and now i have nothing,i do have external graphics and i have read thru posts on here similair
i also bought a replacment screen from ebay case i had damaged the other one and on fitting that one all i have is the backlight on and no display
i have checked thru everything i have read on here
so im starting to think it might be a mainboard problem, something to do with th screen not recieving 3.3v or summit which i read from an lcd repair site
anyways does anyknow of this fix at all

If the new screen doesn't help, I would try a new LCD cable- They go bad often.

i can lift ic chips with the equipment i have and im confident enough to do it but i dont have a system board manual so i dont know which chip is the graphics chip
i suppose i could replace the motherboard but its hit and miss with buy secondhand ones
