Access IBM Mega Sloooooowwww
Access IBM Mega Sloooooowwww
I am new to TPs/IBM/this forum ... but finding the forums VERY helpful. Thanks!
1. When I hit blue Access IBM buttton nothing happens on screen for like 2 minutes but HD light is flashing whole time and then suddenly the Access IBM window opens. Seems really slow... any thoughts? I get same result by going the Start/Programs route...
2. Also what is this AI thing? Is this making an online conneciton to a website or is this a local program trying to run?
3. Also, as far as being helpful, I am not real impressed with this AI button. I find it much quicker, easier, and more detailed helpful by going directly to "IBM access help". Am I missing something?
Thanks...

Hmmmmm, it doesn't try to connect unless you indirectly request it to connect by clicking certain buttons; it shouldn't be taking that long though. Do you have all the updates through IBM Updater and, now, the Software Installer? Also, check the resource use by Access IBM in the Task Manager...It shouldn't stay at high levels of resource usage for more than a few seconds.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Hahaha. That's funny. It's helpful, but only if you can spell what you are asking for correctly.rbyham wrote:And I am obviously doing somehting wrong... I pull up Access IBM and type "hybernate" into search box and it goes to the access IBm informaiton screen but there is no informaiton on "hybernate". I tried "standy" as well. Is IBM "help" really this helpless? I must be doing something wrong
Hibernate and Standby, the IBM won't know hybernate and standy.
X31, T43p (on sale soon I think
