Notice any change in the keyboard?

#1 Post by jdzbox » Mon Nov 21, 2005 11:52 pm

At school there are quite a few TP 43s around and I have noticed some change in the keyboard. What I mean is it feels different when I type even though there are same TPs and the same model. What happened to the keyboard? Did Lenovo go for a cheaper more profitable one? I don't like the new keyboard at all!!!

As far as I know, and I have seen and typed on quite a few T43s, the Keyboard hasn't changed. There is a difference between the ALPS keyboard and a few others though.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

There are some noticeable differences between keyboards, even from the same manufacturer. My current NMB (Thai) doesn't feel as crisp as my last NMB, and that one doesn't feel as good as the original NMB that came with the 14" T42. All feel better and are less flexy/noisy than the 14" and 15" ALPS (China) keyboards. I haven't had the chance to identify a Chicony yet.

How does one identify where/when the keyboard was made?
