Go top your local hobby story and ask for a DUBRO 2120 (I think that's the number). It is a 3X4 mm with a socket head and comes two or three in the package. Looks just like the "original" IBM screw.

Replacement Hard Drive Screw

#3 Post by kevinc » Fri Nov 25, 2005 9:52 pm

I had the same problem. IBM sent me a replacement bezel that covers the hard drive slot. It came with the screw I needed. Want a bezel?

I found the screws you mentioned here http://www.ehobbies.com/ItemDetail.do?& ... B0006N6JEM for $6.81 delivered for a 4-pack.

Here is a picture of them

Note from Moderator: No, there isn't.
[My apologies Nonny. I sent you a PM about this any why we may need some clarification on this subject.....Yak]

OK, then here is a LINK to a picture: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0006 ... ZZZZZ_.jpg

If this is the right screw I'd say that's a bargain, but the head looks a bit thick (though it could be the overall photo size making it look that way).

RRHODY, thanks for letting us know about this.

brainpicker, you might want to change that pic to a link before the mods see it....there is no warning in the subject line.

The image is less than 10k so it should be allowed as even a cell phone could download it in a few seconds. I believe the restriction is for large images. I'll take my chances I guess! But thanks for the heads-up anyway.
