x31, almost one year old, battery made by panasonic on 2004-12-13 with a designed capacity of 45.52Wh, which manages to hold a full charge capacity of 43.09Wh as of now... shy of 4.5hours normal usage with wlan active, around 5 hours with no wlan.

no bluetooth, 1.5Gb RAM, 7200RPM, can't say I'm not happy

T41 SXGA 3 hours (5 cycles.. so full cap)

X31 (1.4ghz @ 300mhz, 512mb, E7K60) 42 cycles 41.50Wh left around 3:50 to 4:10 when one medium brightness, and slow performance (wlan is on tough) I dont know what is causing this low batt life :(
(Panasonic, manufacture date: 2004-04-27, first used date: 2004-06)

X40 8cell (sold) did around 6:40 tot 7:20

T42 SXGA Flexview (18 cycles batt so almost full cap) maxed at 3 hours, but normaly more like 1:50 to 2:10 (medium brightness)

T23 with a totally ****up batt around 2:50 before i did a full discharge (afther that it went orange flashing before it reached 60% and thus shutted down ... 50 mins max)

now that *is* the right question to ask. my wife has a Lifebook S7010, 14" device, the same processor, banias 1.5 as mine, just about the same features. the interesting thing is that her device eats about 1.3Wh less, altho I would normally expect a higher consumption because of the 14" display.

anyway, I'm seriously looking into S7020, I love a lightweight device that has a higher resolution than 1024, and the T line is not as lightweight as I would like it. oh, and not to forget, her notebook smokes my x31's xxx when it comes to wlan :( :( :(
