how did the crook get your wifes ebay accounts password..
did she fall for one of those phishing emails..?
i get those all the time, even to email address's i have that have nothing to do with ebay..
AND
i just last week was monitoring a scam selling thinkpads and other high end notebooks from an ad on google..
when anyone would search for a T43p on google this advert would pop up on the sponsored links side..
the hallmark was that unless you were in new zealand, they wanted payment via western union..
another big warning sign..

She was the type of person who kept a parrot.

While this may be true, I'll take the benefit for now. Security by obscurity is better than no security.LtTPfan wrote:That would certainly help the virus/spyware issue, at least until a majority of folks switched, then hackers would target it instead of Winblows. I doubt Linux is any more secure, it's just that hackers don't waste their time targeting the few who use it instead of Windows.bplaut wrote:add the the list... Use Linux!![]()
When the time comes I'll make the necessary changes to keep my security, but for now Windows is not the place for me.
