syntpenh.exe hangs my T42

I am noticing that my Syntpenh.exe is hanging my computer. It happened a few times when I was running the Exceed. It goes to use 99% cpu and does not respond. I have to restart the laptop. Anyone else has seen this problem.? Any solution? I use exceed 7.1 on windows xp?
I dont use tapping feature on my touchpad. Do I need this syntpenh.exe?

I am noticing that my Syntpenh.exe is hanging my computer.

I experience the same problem with my T41p. The touchpad stops working syntpenh.exe uses almost 100% CPU. However, if i terminate the process (using the Track Point) the Touchpad starts working again. I am using Exceed 6.0. My UltraNav Device Driver seems to be version 7.2.3.10. Do you think the problem is linked to Exceed for some reason?
