Mouse Issue: Need to double click when single should work

#1 Post by Aristotle11 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 4:08 am

Wierd but true. For no apparent reason, I'm having to double click on web links, Windows tabs, icons, etc. to select them about 70% of the time. I don't know how this started, but if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it, please let me know. I've played around with mouse properties to no avail. Thanks!

Thanks, but it didn't work. I changed the settings, moved the mouse over your link and got the pointing hand, clicked on your link "www.wireless4laptop.com," and nothing happened. Had to double click on the link to get it to work. Baffling!

PS- Next I clicked on another tab, and nothing happened. Had to double click on a Firefox tab to get it to work. Then I clicked on "Submit" and nothing happened. I had to double click on "Submit" to submit the post. Bummer!

Is this an external mouse? Or is it the trackpoint/touchpad?
