New Bios! Help!

I just installed the new bios and the Embeded XX..but after that, my winxp becomes very very slow...even cannot start up. Also the thinkvantage reports 'the fingerprint sw is not ready'!?

what should i do now!
please help

well, you have gone this far, it is probably best to let the ibm utility check for the updates you need and let it do them..

i did and i deselected some of the more trivial driver updates to save time and then did those, later..
system is running fine..
