Soundcard Question

Hi,
I just found out this forum a couple days ago and what a great forum this is.
I bought my T42p back in June and I'm loving it!
Recently, I bought a creative soundblaster audigy 2. and I've been noticing that my fan is always on. But the sound card itself is not hot at all.
I just wonder if this sound card is gonna create problems to my laptop in the future.

i am using it too about 2 months now. it takes some performance from your tp that's why the temp. increase.

I read in the following thread that with the Audigy's software installed, the internal PC speakers will no longer work (I assume he meant with the card removed). Did you find that to be the case?

with the card removed, the thinpad speakers will work.
