What mini-pci wireless cards work with T22?
I've seen a lot of people mention that they use a mini-pci for wireless on a t22, but i'd like to know what models people are using. I bought an intel a/b/g card and the thinkpad cannot even tell that it exists. Thanks for the help.

built-in wireless antenna
You can only use the mini-pci wireless card in your T22 if you already have the wireless antenna built in your laptop. To find out, go to IBM website:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... estyle=ibm
Type in your model number in the small box QUICK PATH "Enter a Product Number" in the right column. Example, for my T23 I type in: 2647-MU8. It will then list all component details of your T22. If it does not show wireless, then, unfortunately, the easier alternative is to use a PCMCIA wireless adapter card.
A few months ago, there were a few threads at this forum where a few people tried to open up their LCD cover to lay in the antenna wire, but it is a very delicate job with no guarantee of success. Those antennas have now become expensive, and even if you managed to get a used LCD cover, the total costs and your labor makes it not worthwhile.
Another alternative is to sell your T22 and try to buy a T23 with built in wireless, but you have to be absolutely sure it has BUILT-IN antenna because many sellers claim wireless but they are only wireless with PCMCIA cards. Even then, not all T23 were manufactured with built-in wireless and it is a hard search for a good used T23 with wireless.
I've gone thru this route. So I gave away my T20 and bought my used T23 with wireless from ebay at a very high price; fortunately, it turns out to be in very good condition.
Good luck.
