No. You can play them and read most of them but can't burn them. Sorry!vladan wrote:I have 24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD in Think Pad T42 2373-FWG.

Now, it's hard to know what the original question is....there is such a thing as DVD cd...such as DVD movie formatted files burned on a CD (also calleed a "mini dvd").
YES, this is possible, but you are limited to about 15 or 16 minutes of DVD quality on a CD. I often do this with the music video's that come on movie DVD's, like on disc 2 as a bonus. It works well and will play on your laptop and even on some desktops. You will have to use a program like DVD2One, DVD Decryptor or other program to extract the specific video or whatever it is you want to take off of a disk. Of course, if it is a home made movie, then there is no issue here and a direct copy will work without "ripping." Just burn the IFO and BUP files like you normally would, in a folder labeled VIDEO_TS. It's also good to add an empty AUDIO_TS folder as well (better compatibility). I use my laptop's RecordNow program to burn and burn as a Data disc with these 2 folders mentioned above, just dragged into the "main" window of RecordNow. Might give it a try, if you want. Don't know if this was the original poster's question, but I took it that way.
If the original question was about whether or not you can burn DVD's in a DVD/CDRW, then the anwer is, of course, NO.
