No S-Video out on T22 - need help.

#1 Post by Nolonemo » Sat Dec 03, 2005 12:24 pm

I am not getting anything on the TV when I connect it to the T22 using a 4-pin s-video cable and toggling to external monitor display on the T22.

If I connect the cable to the s-video out on my desktop PC's video card, I get a display on the TV, so the problem does not appear to be with the cable or the TV.

Am I missing something? I've looked in the TP configuration utility on the T22, but don't see anything about the s-video port.

Thanks.

Thanks o this thread I got my t23 working on my TV, but I have an issue! On my tosh hfx84(1080i hdtv crt) To see the whole screen I have to pan around, the entire screen is not shown. Is there a setting in XP to make it all fit or is this a limitation of the graphics chip? I know my 7500 aiw converts its signal to 480i just fine with no need to pan. I imagine some of my terminolgy is wrong, sorry if it is confusing.

p.s. I was the guest who posted before, not sure why that happened.

You probably need to adjust the display properties for the TV out to 640x480 or so.

And if you dont see 640x480 and you only see 800x600, you can go into display properties, then click Advanced, then go into the adapter tab and click List all Modes, then hit 640 by 480 and then hit apply...

I dont know if your TP's minimum is 800x600 or you can just skip this then...

Aparently I don't have the proper s3 driver installed because that IBM support page shows tabs that aren't present on my advanced display window.

Thanks. I now see the TV option, but I can't select it (greyed out). Oh well. I don't need the S-video output, just would have been nice from time to time.

The TV option only becomes active, when the TV is connected. Maybe you even have to reboot with the cable connected and the TV running.
