mouse issues on x31, cant scroll, and other things ie vs fox

im on a fresh install of xp pro with all updates and ibm drives freshly installed.

i can use the center button with the stick and scroll in IE. but not in firefox.
edit:fixed

also with my external mouse the forward and back only work in ie.
anyone know? :x

Well, my Microsoft Mouse has buttons that work as both Forward and Backward and also the keys right above the arrow key grouping work at the same time too. They should work in Firefox, IE, and Windows Explorer (which is kinda, sorta, maybe, IE...OK, it is pretty much IE) :)

yea my logitech did work fine, now after a fresh format it only works in ie hmm

Are the latest UltraNav drivers installed?

yes i used ibm sofware installer to update. everythings installed. the mouse and buttons on the X are fine, my foward and back on the mouse dont work unless im in IE, and i refuse to use IE

well it must be something with firefox,

my middle button does not work unless my external mouse is plugged in.

but works in ie.

This doesn't happen on my friend's X40; what version of Firefox is this? :?

I would go nuts if that happened to me.

1.5 yea my x has been driving me up a wall since ive done the fresh install. stupid bugs are killing me.. ie wireless dropping left and right, happend previously but worked itself out..

I switched themes in firefox and now it works! I tried the ifox theme that is the only thing I can think of that I changed. Goodluck!
If it doesn't get better, it will get over.

Wow, a theme change? This might be a second bug that I have encountered in Firefox 1.5. Hmmmm. :)

yea i just opened my computer after closing hte lid for a bit, on battery, and it works all of the sudden :roll:
