new 120GB HDD for T42

#1 Post by charlie_drake3 » Tue Dec 06, 2005 10:49 am

Help,

I have purchased a new Seagate 120GB HDD for my T42, but it is not recognised by the bios. Am I correct in thinking that the only way it will show up in the BIOS is under the startup section ? Am I doing something wrong, I tried the product recovery cd's but they failed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

First, make sure installed the HDD right. If not, install it again.
Second, make sure have the latest BIOS.If not, update the BIOS to the latest one.
Finally, check your HDD.Make sure it work.

Hey Charlie_Drake3,
did you ever get this to work okay? If so, what was the problem? I am on the verge of ordering that Seagate 120GB for my T42p when I saw your post.
Have you any other advice for me based on your experience?
thanks very much
