Poor Battery Life

#1 Post by atct86 » Tue Dec 06, 2005 10:38 pm

I recently have started going movile again, and i can barley get 1 hour of battery life. My battery is 3 months old, healthy, and has been recently reconditioned.

Could this all be from the 7K60? I know with my old 4K80 i could get nearly 3 hours of battery life.

What have people experienced with battery life
2.2ghz MacBook Pro
320b Lacie Triple Interface Extreme Drive
Dell 20.1" Widescreen - 2007WFP

I presume you've done all the power-saving tweaks you can... try part-discharging and recharging the battery a few times. That sometimes seems to help (even with Li batteries).

Otherwise heat can kill Li batteries rather quickly, but that's all I can think of.

I can get almost 3 hours from a four-month old 6-cell on a T43 with a 5K80 drive and very few power saving features enabled.

You might need to reset your power settings if you installed fresh on the new hard drive.

Edit: pipspeak beat me to it. :D
