IBM THINK PAD 701C and 701CS Parts and Accessories For Sale

#1 Post by Scotty410 » Thu Dec 08, 2005 10:58 pm

I have two 701s that a kuput. I purchased lot of add-ons, but spilled wine on the key board on 701C, I was able to use external keyboard for a while, but then that stopped working too? This was an IBM marketing demo, with upgraded twisted pair screen, extra. I added a ram chip, docking module, a/c adapter, 3 1/2 external drive, ethernet module. The other one is just for parts. The batteries no longer hold a charge.

Will sell all for parts...

I'm very interested, but what kind of price are you looking for for all of it? Do you accept paypal, and do you have references (ie. eBay account, heatware)?

I'm also interested (especially in this "twisted pair" display for my 701C). If TTF decides to pass, contact me.

There is also someone on eBay that just listed about 8 701cs machines, in "good" condition. Seems to be reputable 98.8% feedback. We'll see what happens when mine arrives.

FYI: Scotty410, if you list something here in the forum, it'd be nice if you waited and gave everybody a chance to respond before listing it on eBay, unless you are trying to draw people to eBay.

Really? What's the cheapest you'd be willing to let go of a working 701c with TFT for?

Thanks for the offer, Bill. I've got a parts machine for my 701C already, I'm just curious about the display on this demo model - or is "twisted-pair LCD" just a description of the ordinary TFT display? I don't recall hearing the term before.

I never listed on Ebay before in my life, but someone above expressed an interest and asked if I had references, about pay pal, and use of ebay, so I listed on Ebay for him/her... A first for me. I have one reference there, as buyer. I am not a computer guy, just a dumb user.
