Battery Cold boot - nope

#1 Post by ManofGod » Fri Dec 09, 2005 9:27 am

I have a 385XD and I have a real strange problem. Just to start off, the main battery and the bios battery have been replaced. Also, the main battery does take a charge without any problem.

Ok, now the problem: I cannot boot up the computer on cold start with only the battery. I can start with the battery in and the AC in. I can also unplug the AC after the unit is started up, and warm boot and it works.

Also, the bios will not keep the time even though it is a known good cmos battery that has been installed. Any ideas?
