X4 Ultrabase USB2 Port Problem

I have a X4 ultrabase I'm using with my x40. It works well except that I can't get it to recognize two different usb hubs that I've tried to plugin. I've got more than 3 devices I want to plugin which is the reason for wanting to use the hub.

I can plugin the hub directly into the x40 and it's recognized fine. Also, I can plug the devices into the ports on the X4 base and that also works fine.

Any ideas?

Is your USB hub powered by AC adapter? If all the docks are built the same way, UBS ports on docks (at least true on T series port replicator II) is not powered whereas UBS ports are powered on the laptop itself. So plug the AC adapter that comes with the Hub and then lpug your UBS devices into the hub and see what happens. Good luck. Dave
