Ctrl+Shift+G
Ctrl+Shift+G
I asked this question a while ago but never did solve the riddle.
Basically my problem is this; no matter what app I'm running, the combo Ctrl+Shift+G always pops up the IBM User Verification Manager -- which is a real pain in the neck. I'm a graphic designer and unfortunately Ctrl+Shift+G is keyboard short cut most graphics apps use to ungroup a set of objects.
I've looked unsuccessfully to find a way to deactivate Ctrl+Shift+G the IBM Security Client settings, the Keyboard Customizer and even in the bios. It is definitely has something to do with the IBM Security Client Password Manager, but short of uninstalling the whole IBM Security Client, I seem to be stuck with it.
I'd settle for removing the IBM Security Client from Windows start-up and then manually starting it when I need it. But, as I can't find it in any of the usual places (start-up folder, msconfig or windows registry) I'm not able to do even this.
There must be some way of getting rid of Ctrl+Shift+G and keeping my passwords secure too...
If anyone's interested my original thread is here http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=9567

Well, I just tried this, so I think it should work
Right click the Lock icon in the taskbar and click on "Customize Keyboard Shortcut"
That brings up a window with several options; one of them is to disable the "Ctrl+Shift+G" Combo.
I can send you a screenshot if you like.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Mmm, I don't have that rather that obvious sounding option and I think I'll pass on the screen shot, other peoples desktops are usually disturbing.
Can you tell what version of the security client you're running?
I have:
Installed version: 5.40.018.0
IBM Client Security Password Manager: 1.40.007.0
