Bootvis and T41P
Bootvis and T41P
Hi,
The other day I upgraded my T41p to window SP2. Now when I run Bootvis the program no longer works. When it wants to write traces it would no longer respond. Can somebody confirm that Bootvis works with window SP2.

I have Windows XP SP2 and Bootvis runs fine. Does it just "not work"? or is there a period where it tries to do something and can't?

Have you tried unistalling and then re-installing Bootvis? Microsoft Bootvis v1.3.37 is what I have, it could be that older versions of Bootvis conflict with Windows XP SP2.

From the readme:

I'd read as much as I could (MS white paper on it) and go from there. I have used the older version with SP2.Removing Microsoft Bootvis
To remove Bootvis, re-run the bootvis.msi installation program and choose the Remove option. Alternatively, you may remove Microsoft Bootvis from the Add/Remove programs Control Panel Applet.

Thanks
I found v1.3.37 and install it. But again I got error message. I get it when Bootvis is trying to write the traces after the first bootup. The trace is for optimization purpose. The first error was that Bootvis is trying to use a memory and that had created problem.
Then when I tried to start the Bootvis again I got this message
"Turn on Tracing using bootvis - on switch before saving to a file get further help by bootvis-? in help section"
OK does this make sense to anybody?
I uninstalled and reinstalled but the same error and message!
