Bluetooth (I think?!) problem

#1 Post by krma-thkpds » Tue Dec 13, 2005 3:12 pm

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. I this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need.

If problemss continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable any BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer , press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe mode.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00000017, 0x00000002, 0x804F8C4C)
This happened to me for fourth or fifth time now. Always after connection to the net via bluetooth modem (Nokia 6630) hangs. Anyone experienced this?

The connection hangs randomly...

I've had BSOD with same message with the faulty motherboard. Had it replaced by IBM (when the thinkpad was still under warranty).

I had the same error message "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" when I installed Nero 6 Ultra Edition on a desktop PC. I had to uninstall the INCD reader, then everything was fine again.

I believe this is a driver issue. Try ininstalling and reinstalling your bluetooth drivers. Look for any patches or upgrades from the driver supplier. Try a different version of the driver if possible.

EDIT: I just saw someone else, DavidNZ, with the same error message.

I sill haven't figured out what is causing this problem, but I did find out that after upgrading from AC 3.81 to 4.01 the bluetooth dial-up connection stopped failing. Did never since get the error again.
