Z60M Dimensions

Z60M Dimensions

My dad works for IBM and wants to get me a thinkpad for school. We both thought that the Z60M looks good, but i am a bit worried about the dimensions. How big is it compared to other laptops and will it be a big deal. Also i could only get a US$1200 or AUD$2400 so the T series it a bit much and the R series are not that great. So basically can some people help me with the size and weight and how good it would be for my first laptop and for school
